SUMMARY:#280 - The global contract: the path to putting people first
DESCRIPTION:Denis Payre is a French entrepreneur who has built two global\, fast growing and innovative companies: software company Business Objects\, now a global division of SAP; and e‑logistic company Kiala\, now a global division of UPS. He was involved in the Nasdaq listing of Business Objects and together with his partner\, was named “Best Entrepreneur” in Business Week in 1996\, next to Steve Jobs and Steven Spielberg. Denis Payre has also been involved in the public debate for over 25 years. He founded Croissance Plus to help create a better environment for high growth and innovative companies in France and in Europe. He obtained the creation of widely used BSPCE to help share the value creation with employees. Denis Payre has been a member of the French Competition Authority. He is currently heading Nature and People First\, a developer of energy storage solutions for the energy transition based on the well proven pumped hydroelectric storage technology. He also created this company which is active in France and the USA. In this context\, he has been confronted with unbalanced and unethical international free trade rules. He has decided to publish Le Contrat Mondial (the Global Contract) in 2021 to describe these situations and their consequences and to suggest solutions. \n\n\n\nDiscussants: Felicia ARAGAO (EPOG+\, Major A)\, Miloš KUZMANOVIĆ (EPOG+\, Major A)\, Muskan NAVEED (EPOG+\, Major B). \n\n\n\nFor online (live) attendance: https://live.epog.eu \n\n\n\nFor the replay: https://videos.epog.eu \n\n\n\nRelated documents \n\n\n\nDenis Payre (2020)\, The Global Contract\, The Path to Putting People First Short Summary\, working paper.PDFDenis Payre (2021)\, “Chapter Summaries”\, Working paper.
