She is a found­ing mem­ber of the Nikos Poulantzas Insti­tute in Athens. She has close con­nec­tions with civ­il soci­ety orga­ni­za­tions such as the Cor­po­rate Europe Obser­va­to­ry and the ATTAC net­work. Her research inter­ests include macro­eco­nom­ic pol­i­cy\, gov­er­nance\, pri­va­ti­za­tion\, bank­ing and finance.
