Structure and content overview (EPOG+)
The chosen specialisation (Major and Minor) determines most of the student’s mobility: one or two different universities during Year 1 and a (long) semester in Paris (September-February) during Year 2. For the last semester, students have the opportunity to their Master’s thesis in the most relevant context for their project, which can be a “research lab environment” or a “professional internship”.
The course teaching is structured around three Majors, covering three main areas of economic policies:
The core design of the EPOG Master’s relies on the development of an expertise in a specific field and a general understanding of interdependencies among economic policies with a precise, consistent and continuous course progression, as evidenced by the detailed content of each Major/Minor.

| Semester 3 (September-February) | Advanced courses in the specialisation field (Major/Minor). Provision of a common culture to the whole cohort. Indeed, Paris is acting as a hub for all the students. Beyond the specific courses related to the chosen Major, students will need to choose two “special focuses” and attend courses and seminars jointly given to the whole cohort. In order to provide diversity and the best possible courses and the most relevant Master’s thesis supervision, the programme is jointly managed by the three local awarding degree institutions (University of Technology of Compiègne, Sorbonne University and University of Paris) and involves all the associated partners in the Paris hub. Lectures are thus taking place in various locations (in Paris and its suburb). |
| Semester 4 | Enhancement and application of previous learning outcomes. Students choose between (i) writing the Master’s thesis in the context of a “professional internship” or (ii) writing the Master’s thesis in a “research lab environment”. Depending on their Master’s thesis project and career perspectives, students will — stay in Paris (and take advantage of the Paris hub of partners and associated partners), — return to the university where the first year of the Master’s was taken, — visit one of the associated partner, or any relevant institution. |
